Job Description Summary:
Job ID = 1650. Student aide positions provide custom service support on behalf of the One Stop for Student Success Services. This position will perform a variety of customer service, office, clerical and telephone tasks. The position will allow students to gain applicable experience in customer service and office applications for resume building.
Primary Responsibilities
Answer questions on the phone, by email or in person from students and parents about student accounts, financial assistance and registration procedures, processes and deadlines. (Shifts will be scheduled for the One Stop call center and also in the One Stop lobby).
Help greet and assist students, parents and visitors to the One Stop lobby by signing into the kiosk ipad; directing to appropriate offices as needed; assisting with applications (self-help stations) in completing transcript requests, enrollment verifications and other applicable transactions relating to payment, financial assistance and registration.
Accurately enter appropriate data into the Banner system and tracking database
Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments as well as actions taken. Assist with the review of the One Stop website.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess strong customer service and communication skills
Have excellent attendance habits
Be able to work independently
Accuracy, dependability and confidentiality are critical
Possess standard computer skills
Past experience in a customer service or call center position is helpful

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
