Job Description Summary:
Job ID = 3275 Provide web support and development for Conference Services, Carillon Catering, and The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center website; frequent updates in all electronic media with photos, facility updates, banquet and seasonal events & menus and hotel "hot dates";
Build/Maintain/manage web presence on marketing tools including The Knot and Unique Venues;
Frequently and consistently manage the information for social media sites/accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, and the website to drive special event sales and hotel occupancy;
Assist with the creation of web registration forms in Conference Programmer's IrisRegistration for internal and external customers;
Conducts marketing projects to include price and amenity research and customer prospecting;
Gain efficiency in Opera, Event Management System (event software), and 25Live for customer database access;
Monitor email accounts for customer inquiries and forward to appropriate management personnel;
Assists with sales and marketing functions as necessary.
This is an excellent position to prepare for the Highwire Program in the Farmer School of Business.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have experience working with a variety of database and software programs to include, but not limited to, Mac design software, Microsoft Office, basic HTML experience;
Experience in Google Analytics and web awareness;
Video & photo editing experience;
Knowledge and coursework in web design and marketing concepts;
Experience with a Mac computer a must;
Must work well independently and with minimal instruction;
Must be able to meet deadlines and complete projects.
Must be a registered Miami University student with 6 or more registered credit hours
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and retain information
Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours; lift, pull, grab, or reach heavy items up to 30 lbs.
Completion of ServSafe within the first 3 weeks
Completion of other required departmental training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
