Job Description Summary:
Food Service Suite & Nutrition Student Assistant
Student assistant duties include:?
Nutritional coding of all general items.
Writing letters to companies to inquire about nutritional information for their products.
Verifying every recipe within FSS is coded correctly in fields.
Assist in the promotion of Dining around campus.
Verifying every recipe is linked to web page menus properly from FSS.
Updating changes in recipes and ingredient items as they occur.
Work with special diet requests.
Back up for web verification of nutritional information.
Coverage for front desk duty (phone and visitors) in absence of staff.
Assist with special event planning and execution.
Assist with inventory management in dining locations.Other duties as assigned
Work closely with RDs to meet daily needs of Food and Beverage.
Provide a high level of customer service with a positive attitude.
Strong sense of teamwork and a accountability.
Willingness to learn new duties and grow professionally.
Hours of operation:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
22 hour per week limit
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications to Apply:
Must be a registered Miami University student with 6 or more registered credit hours.?
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and retain information
Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
Ability to list, pull, grab or reach items weighing up to 30 lbs
Requirements once Hired:
Completion of ServSafe Level 1 exam
Completion of the Miami University Student Confidentiality Agreement
Completion of the Miami University FERPA form (reference requests)
Completion of any other mandated departmental training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
