Assistant Director for International Recruitment will support the University's efforts to recruit and enroll an academically-talented and diverse undergraduate international student body to Miami University.
Assist in the planning and implementation of international first-year and transfer student recruitment/yield travel strategies and international partnership management in designated locations around the world.
Duties/Physical Demands:
Participate in travel 4-8 weeks a year in designated international locations. (30%)
Assist with the coordination and implementation of international recruitment/yield activities and events including student/counselor visits and on and off campus events. (20%)
Assist with international admission application review. Actively engage in international application and scholarship review. (15%)
Assist with the development, organization and implementation of communication plans for international students that include but are not limited to web chats/virtual fairs and use of country specific social media. (15%)
Assist in the management of the primary international email account, as well as serve as resource for additional written and phone inquiries from international students. (10%)
Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO). (5%)
Serve as a liaison for international admission and actively participate in general admission activities and admission special events. (5%)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years of experience in Admission or student services experience
Experience with and/or strong interest in recruiting and enrolling international students.
Must be able and willing to perform 4-8 weeks of overnight domestic or international travel per year.
Must possess a driver's license.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, temporary resident (admitted for residence as an applicant under the 1986 immigration amnesty law), refugee or asylee.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Experience in international recruitment/enrollment.
Experience working with CRM and/or Student Information System software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
