Job Description Summary:
JobID: 5918 The Create & Innovate department of the University Libraries is a newly formed division whose mission is to become an entrepreneurial library department supporting innovative spaces/services and transdisciplinary research and scholarship at Miami University. We are currently looking to hire students to work primarily in the Center for Information Management (CIM) lab, a high-end multimedia computing facility offering multiple scanning format capabilities, advanced web design, digital video and audio creation, image manipulation, and graphic design and to support various projects throughout the department's lab spaces (Center for Digital Scholarship, 3D printing) on an as needed basis.
This position provides assistance and consultation to clients using Create & Innovate resources. Essential: strong customer service focus, good oral and interpersonal communication skills, strong software skills and ability to quickly learn, understand and evaluate computer problems, ability to multitask, flexibility and an initative for creative problem solving.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good academic standing, use of multimedia software, minimum 10-hour commitment per week.
Preferred Qualifications in one/any of the following:
Graphic Design
3D modeling experience
Video editing (Final Cut, Premiere)
Web programming/PHP/HTML/CSS
experience with Arduino/Raspberry pi

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
