Provide multi-culturally informed psychological services, including psychological, substance use, and attention problem evaluations, and individual and group counseling and psychotherapy to Miami University students.
Duties/Physical Demands:
Intervene in crisis and emergency situations of a mental health nature with students, including after hours on-call responsibilities;
Consult with faculty, staff, students, families, and other professionals regarding the mental health needs of students;
Initiate and respond to requests to provide psycho-educational programming to various groups within the university community;
Assist in providing clinical training for psychology interns within the Student Counseling Services ("SCS") APA-accredited psychology internship training program, and other trainees such as doctoral and masters level students from Miami's APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Training Program, commensurate with the psychologist's licensure status; maintain clinical records and provide clinical documentation and communication with external practitioners as necessary for ethical clinical treatment;
Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings, consultations, and professional development;
Assume responsibility for other assignments including serving on divisional and university committees;
Obtain independent licensure status in OH within three years of beginning employment; provide primary mental health liaison services to the Office of International Student and Scholar Services ("ISSS") and related offices and serve as a bridge between those offices and the ISSS.
Provide expert culturally sensitive consultation and training to the staff and trainees of the ISSS, about various Asian cultures to enhance clinical service provision; provide specific consultation to faculty, staff, and relevant student groups regarding the mental health needs of international students; and translate mental health documents as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA accredited doctoral training program. Must have completed an APA approved internship. Must be eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Ohio. 1 year of experience in providing clinical services, including to East Asian international student populations, in a higher education environment unless it was part of the APA approved internship. Ability to read, speak, and write both Mandarin and English relative to clinical psychological terms and services.
