Job ID: 6009 - FT - Unclassified (salaried)
Under general direction, assist with organizational/divisional contract and license procurement. Assist with vendor selection, evaluation, and vendor relationship management. Communicate and train users on best practices for procurement, contract negotiation, asset management.
Duties/Physical Demands:
License procurement and contract negotiation
Assist with the execution of software and license quotes and purchases
Monitor software and license allocation against contracted levels and proactively address gaps
Maintain vendor contact database, contract repository, contract life cycles, and forecast annual costs
Maintain financial records/reporting, including cost savings realized through strategic vendor management initiatives
Anticipate software and/or business changes that may impact licensing or contractual agreements
Analyze and recommend alternate licensing models
Ensure organizational procurement and contract negotiation aligns with divisional standards
Assist with the review contracts and SLAs in conjunction with University procurement policies and state guidelines
Vendor management
Assist with vendor evaluation/selection, including drafting RFP/RFQ/RFI in accordance with established guidelines
Assist with negotiation of vendor solutions for adherence to accessibility requirements set forth by AccessMU
Assist with the implementation of vendor management standards by:
Ensuring contracts are fully leveraged
Actively engaging with vendors to ensure contract terms are met
Appropriately document, troubleshoot, and escalate vendor and/or product issues
General
Assist with divisional and organizational asset management training as required
Assist with software store product library and pricing
Develop and conduct organizational and divisional communication strategy
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field earned by date of hire
2+ years' experience in technology vendor management
2+ years' experience in software licensing and technology procurement
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted. Experience in these knowledge/skills/abilities may be earned concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field by date of hire
5+ years in IT contract administration, purchasing and procurement in higher education environment
5+ years in volume license agreements, enterprise agreements and site licenses
1-3 years managing multiple projects, developing budgets and securing cost savings through the creation and implementation of vendor management strategies
Experience interpreting and explaining complex licensing terms and conditions verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience
General knowledge of accounting, finance, and/or marketing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to create and contribute to an inclusive work environment
Software and/or vendor management certifications such as:
Certified Software Manager certification
Advanced Software Manager certification
Certified Technology Procurement Expert
Certified Regulatory Vendor Manager Program (CRVMP)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
