College Fresh prepares and serves fresh, made from scratch, in-house meals for fraternities and sororities nationwide. We now have an opening available for a FULL-TIME CHEF'S ASSISTANT to join the team at our location on the campus of Miami University of Ohio in Oxford, OH. 40 hours per week position.

Scratch cooking experience a definite plus +++.
Normally requires a high school diploma.
1-2 years customer service experience required; kitchen assistant, cook, or prep experience strongly preferred.
Must be able to obtain, and maintain, ServSafe Food Handler's Certification or state-recognized equivalent.
Must be able to stand on feet for several hours at a time and be able to lift 21-50 pounds (weight restrictions may be accommodated with help from another kitchen staff person).
Essential Chef's Assistant Functions
Assist with the preparation of meals as assigned by the Chef.
Clean kitchen equipment and all food contact areas utilized in the preparation of meals.
Dishwashing, mopping, sweeping, garbage removal, and other daily cleaning functions.
Receive product deliveries, assist in the organization of inventory for kitchen, walk-in, storerooms and dining room as directed by Head Chef.
Clean and stock all supplies/staples in the dining area for the current meal, snacks, etc. per specific client guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service in a prompt and courteous manner.
NOTE Employment is based on the university's school year/academic calendar (laid off during breaks when school is not in session).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
